Thursday English Cafe

The English Cafe was a different story for me than the afternoon was - I found it quite challenging, but that it always a good thing.

The night started off well, we played pictionary and Jenga on my table and then Dave did a really good talk based on board games and luck games e.g lottery etc.

However, the discussion group was hard for me as my group spoke Hungarian most of the time, and as I don't speak much of this, I was not really able to take part. I did try and get the conversation back to English, but no one seemed confident enough to talk in English so they went back to Hungarian.

I came away feeling a bit low from it, which was hard as I was on such a high this afternoon. I did learn from it though - I learnt that a person in my life is actually quite wise, and leading small groups discussins can actually be quite difficult - though this was a different story because it covered a language barrier.
